From the tunnel

We walked up to Pfingstegg today then along to the Hotel Wetterhorn. Stunning views long the route passing underneath the Schreckhorn. At one point it was a sheer cliff with some snow below but luckily someone had built a tunnel in the rock. This is the view from inside the tunnel looking out above Grindelwald. Each field seems to have its own little barn.

The extras show the Gleckensteinhütte, perched on the edge of the cliff! The close up shows how precariously it seems to balance above the drop. I’m not sure I’d sleep well if I stayed there.
