mint moth

was beginning to think it was one of those afternoons in the garden as everytime I had my camera nothing appeared, and everytime I didn't have it there were butterflies and insects galore! They know don't they!!  Thankfully managed to snap this mint moth on a peony!

We ventured out in the car this morning, just 10 minutes away to Canvey to visit the M&S food shop! Brilliantly set up for socially distanced shopping so we ended up treating ourselves to cream cakes as a reward! It had to be done! And saw a friend in the queue as we came out so was nice to chat briefly to her for the first time in months, other than texts!   Have also been engrossed in a new book this afternoon - The Beauty of Broken Things by Victoria Connelly - so hoping to finish that later as can't find anything good to watch on TV!
