Reindeer moss

Tigh Mhor this weekend (with goretex and the crew). After this photo we took a hike up the hills - which was hard work in the melting snow - imagine climbing a thousand foot sand dune - good fun coming down though!
What a fantastic day for photography! This is Reindeer moss which is apparently all they eat in the winter - not a moss at all but lichen (the deer are fussy about detail) - lots of it but not a reindeer in sight
