Today

Today I hate lockdown.
An advocate of social distancing,
Today it confines me,
Restrains me,
Binds me,
I found out that a close friend's partner died.
Unexpected.
Sudden.
I want to be with her,
I want to hug her.
I want to hug their 6 and 8 year old boys.
But I can't.
I know so many are going through similar,
Unable to hug, touch or be with loved ones.
It's horrendous!
