Bin it!

A quiet day for my birthday. Carl and I had celebrated on Friday, of course, since he had other commitments today. I had my own little celebration sitting in the sun and taking calls and messages "because of the day that's in it", decided I had enough of that and walked around the block for a bit of exercise, which is where I spotted this behave-yourself poster aimed at dog walkers.

Back home I took a birthday call which meant a lot. An unknown voice asked if I could 'take a call from Susan'. Oh, yes. Definitely. 'Hold on. I'll put her on speaker." Susan is my next-door neighbour who's been in a care home for a few years. She tested positive for Covid towards the end of April and spent a couple of days on oxygen (didn't need a ventilator). Within 10 days her temperature was back to normal, she was out of bed, dressed, makeup on, sitting in the sun! She's an amazing woman. She's been through the wars with her health for many years now, gets worse, then bounces back, and does this over and over again. This recovery, of course, was the most significant.

So was totally cogent and told me she was determined to have a birthday chat. The call made my day.
