GLENBEULAH AMERICAN LEGION OBSERVES MEMORIAL DAY

Many Memorial Day observances around the state were canceled due to the pandemic. But the members of the local Gilles-Weiss Post 484 assembled in our small village to pay tribute to the fallen veterans of all our wars. After a nice speech by the Post Commander, rifle volleys were fired and taps was played. A smaller than usual number of locals attended but those that did maintained proper social distancing. It was a very nice ceremony held in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in the Village of Glenbeulah. There's not many people here but we're a tight bunch and we stick together. We were all grateful that the mosquito population had yet to arrive. It won't be long.
