Mooching about on a Monday
The sun was quite hot this morning so we took Fletch up to AH to wander around the grounds. Quite a lot of traffic and lots of people wandering along the streets but we had the place to ourselves.
Cooler under the trees and Fletch enjoyed his freedom off the lead. But he almost blew it because he spotted a rabbit and was off after it like a rocket. The rabbit shot into a small enclosed area surrounded by a low box hedge and Fletch dived in only to lose sight of it. All we could see was Fletchs head bobbing up and down above the hedge like some odd jack in the box.
So he went back on the lead till we were on the far side of the grounds. I'm told there have been deer seen in the grounds early in the morning...the animals are realising there aren't many humans about.. Maybe we'll need to time our visit when the gardener has the mower out. I d rather not have Fletch chase a deer
Back home and I finally got the flowers in the window boxes! I had ordered 6 packs of 4 plants but she'd got me 6 lots of 6 so I've 12 more plants to find homes for. Not a problem. I also planted the 3 geraniums which have grown huge already. More work planned in the garden tomorrow. Nice.
Blip is of part of a huge rhodedendron bush at AH. They'd cut most of the rhodedendrons down but this has survived. It's been slow to flower but today looked splendid. Hard to show the scale of something 20 foot high.
Have a good week everyone.
