Before the finale

Long ovations for Lorin Maazel (that replaced Riccardo Muti) in conducting Chicago Symphonic Orchestra yesterday night at Shanghai Oriental Art Center.

A beautiful programme with Verdi, Mendelssohn and Beethoven and a super finale with Hungarian dance no.1 by Brahms and an epic Overture to Act III of Wagner's Lohengrin!

Such events and such music really re-connect me to the best side of the human kind... much needed!
