The Lone Poppy

A lone poppy in the hedgerow I spotted while on my evening walk. How appropriate as today is Memorial Day in the USA. Happy Memorial Day to all my American friends and family.

This evening I’ve been listening to a special programme on Classic FM ‘By Royal Appointment’ with Alan Titchmarsh and special guest His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.

A relaxing couple of hours listening to some of HRH’s favourite classical music and some stories about his love of music and orchestras.

Prince Charles talked about how he turns to classical music for emotional support and without it he simply could not exist. Many people will find solace in music in these troubling times, he said, and he hopes orchestras will bounce back to their glory after the pandemic.

Looking forward to tuning in again tomorrow evening at 8pm.
