Today's the day ……………………… for pest control

Having lived for many years on the west side of the country, with a high amount of annual rainfall, we had masses of the above in the garden.  Although we reached a sort of equilibrium when a couple of song thrushes made their home with us.

We still live in the west - and the rainfall is still high - but I was just saying the other day that we rarely see slugs and snails.  For that we are grateful!  And then, tonight on my evening walk, I saw this one so perhaps they are around after all.

And it's maybe our resident song thrush (see extra) that is just doing a good job of pest control ……………………...
