Calm after the storm
The wind finally stopped blowing and we got up to a beautiful sunny morning.
Quick walk to the quarry with the doggies then home for another stint in the garden. Mr PC cleaned the pond pump and filter then vacuumed up the rubbish from the bottom. He then cut the beech hedge while I went around behind him picking up the bits, I tidied up the old stems from the spring bulbs and did a bit of weeding.
Our resident blackbirds babies fledged causing mayhem with Monty and Stanley, the starlings also fledged (see extra)and there were dozens of them attacking the bird feeder and bathing in the pond.
Stanley has not been able to settle this evening all he want to do is look for birds.
On my afternoon walk around the garden I spotted this beautiful Iris that had just come into bloom. Today’s blip sorted.
Hope you all had a good weekend.
