Visitors ..
on a Bank Holiday Monday. Socially distanced of course.
Had a morning coffee and a FaceTime chat with my friend who has been suffering a bad back since we met up last week. She assures me it is nothing to do with our brief walk.
Did some gardening, mainly pulling out spent daffs and bluebells plus the masses of Forget me Nots though some continue to flower.
After lunch our friends appeared in the drive on their bikes to chat with us and our neighbours - they were impressed with the pothole free drive! (Spot rose54)
Our tea delivery man (Ringtons) came this afternoon, the first time since lockdown, so topped up our tea and fresh coffee supplies.
Later, our son called down for a garden visit. It’s the first time he’s been since mid March so it was very nice to have him here though we have seen him weekly outside his house in the village.
The other visitors were somewhat less welcome. Up to 14 Starlings in next door’s tree - Extra. The youngsters making an incessant noise. It was a joy to hear the lovely song of a Blackbird when they briefly disappeared.
We received pictures of Eda in her paddling pool in the garden, (I’m not posting them as Grace is in there too and is 22 weeks pregnant! ) When we came in we had a Face time catch up before Eda’s bath time.
Our friend suggested Chris was turning into Bill Oddie with his increasingly unruly ‘Lockdown’ hair. I’m not touching it and he won’t let me!
As Spain announces they are to open their borders we joked that we could go for a haircut!
Feeling a bit tired now but that could be the ‘several’ glasses of Prosecco! Had a very nice Bank Holiday without leaving the house!
Hope you all did too in the U.K. and stayed safe.
