A little bit like home
We went for a short drive to the RSPB reserve at Rainham Marshes. It was great to be out in the open with plenty of fresh air. I know these are marshes, but I was reminded of fields of prairie wheat.
On the way, we stopped to get petrol and saw a very long queue for a drive through Starbucks. Whilst I’ve longed for café life, a drive through seems odd to me, in particular at Starbucks. I heard a piece on ‘From Our Own Correspondent’ about the easing of lockdown in Brussels and the first things people were doing, like going to the hairdresser. I would like to have my watch battery replaced since it gave up the ghost about six weeks ago. What will you do first?
