Swollen stream
Thursday
One more step towards a new normal - Laura and I both had dentist appointment this morning. They were taking every precaution - the day before, we had to answer a short questionnaire on the phone - had we had a cough or fever in the last two weeks, had we come into contact with anyone with Covid, had we travelled out of the tri-state area in the last few weeks, etc. Then this morning we were to call the office when we were parked outside, and the hygienist came to fetch us (one at a time) when she was ready, and took our temperature before we went into the building. The hygienist and dentist were both wearing cloth masks, plus full face plastic shields. I got a clean bill of health, while Laura has to go back in a couple of weeks. We’ve been seeing the same dentist for about 20 years and really like her and her entire staff - they’re all very cheerful and do a really good job.
After lunch, it was miraculously still dry, and we went walking at Glenwood Gardens. It was rather gloomy, and I didn’t find much to photograph, except for this muddy looking, fast flowing, swollen stream, a reflection of all the rain we’ve had the last couple of days a record rainfall for the day on Monday!
