Snow day 2!

Today was a pre-booked fun day, in order to try and give ourselves a break, get away from Edinburgh and just chill (literally) out a bit!

So off we popped in the Alastair-mobile off up north to Calendar for the day. We weren't necessarily expecting snow, having had virtually none out by us for a wee while, but we got snow - and plenty of it!

First stop was a wee cafe for lunch, then a wander up the high street to nose in a shop or two, and buy ice cream (yes, ice cream) and tablet...yummy :) Then we went off up into the woods for a wander, some snow ball fights, miniature snowman building, and for a lovely view of a beautiful waterfall (not much waterfall in the picture, just me and my lovely crazy ladies!)

Back to the car and off for a wee drive to stop by the only lake in Scotland, then back to the flat for pizza and pud, and a brilliant evening playing a game of truth or myth, which I won, by the way ;)

This was all topped off with THE MOST EXCITING NEWS EVER, in six months time, I shall be a double Auntie :) Word's cannot describe how excited I am, screamed down the phone to my poor sister, then jumped up and down and ran round the living room (definitely too much sugar in my system to cope with the added excitement!).

What a great day, so much to be thankful for! And one of the things I love about blip, helping to preserve big and little memories :)
