A Grey and Stormy Day
We didnt leave home at all today because the storm has been going all day and will be carrying on all night too. The shot is from the rooftop garden late this afternoon. Many people have lost power and its unknown how long it will take for them to come back online again.
My son Julian is in one of those areas in the blackout and he rang me a little while ago and said they had all decided they may as well just go to bed early ;o). Being very reliant on tv, Netflix and iPads I thing thats a wise move!
The wind has been pretty frightening at times, gusting at 100km and we have a part of the rooftop garden roof flapping and there is no way we can get up there in this wind and fix it! Ive taken all my arty farty stuff inside, including mats and dogs bed and lots of bits and pieces in case the whole roof goes but I’m desperately hoping it wont as there are lounges and other stuff which wouldnt fit inside ; (
This is a link to the wind app nullschool, have a look at Western Australia!! Its a rare event with the remains of an also rare for this time of the year tropical cyclone in the north coming down and smashing into a cold front coming up from the south eeeek!!!
