North Face

Of The Mönch - the Monk sits between the Eiger and the Jungfrau. Taken outside our tent on my friends borrowed lens. I really like it. Also could take some not bad pics of the Sphinx on the Jungfraujoch. Had a fabulous day, hot and sunny. We took the fanicular railway from Beatenberg to Thunersee, then the bus to St Beatus caves, which are still closed. Hiked up very steeply between the forests and cliffs up a path that pretty much ends back up outside the tent. Had another wonderful evening with our friends cooking steaks on the fire, drinking some fine swiss wines from Valais, this is the life!
