Seedhead of something.
Necessity is the mother of invention and I needed to get a decent photo to upload. I've been worrying about the lectures I'm preparing; I always worry, I usually over-prepare, in the past its always gone well, but if I didn't worry I probably wouldn't do a good job. This sort of pointless debate is raging in my skull but I'm also thinking; "I promised myself to do this blip thing (properly), so I'd better start taking some good photos."
So it was 10:20pm and I had a few bully images of Canterbury Catherdal and a couple of night-time shots of nondescript farm machinery... I found these dried seed heads in my studio aka "the making room." I experimented, working from first principles, about capturing an image. Eventually I re-created "Mr Heath-Robinson's very own and original dark-room" by turning out all the lights in the kitchen and opening the window (so that our neighbours' (walled) garden became the backdrop. This is the result.
I'm pleased. Enjoy!
