If you can't beat them...

Bluebell (Hyacinthoides Sp)

In a normal year (can you remember those) we would have visited Rannerdale and very possibly one or two of the local "Bluebell Woods".  Sadly that was not to be this year even if Rannerdale had been accessible, however I had heard rumours it was going to be closed to public access.

I have labelled this shot Hyacinthoides Species because the white pollen suggests it is the English Bluebell  (Hyacinthoides non-scripta) and the upright nature suggests Spanish Bluebell  (Hyacinthoides hispanica).  I therefore assume it is a hybrid.  We have both English and Spanish in the garden so extremely possible.

Another cold wet day so we concentrated on indoor work and a long, enjoyable Zoom chat with Katkatkat, ArcaneSpark and the grandchildren.
