Patience!

I made this rhubarb and custard cake today, having read about it on a Local Facebook Cooking group set up during lockdown. I did read the comments on the on line recipe which suggested it needed to be cooked for far longer than the recipe.

It did... 45 minutes more! But it’s worth it. M. has said it tastes like a proper British pudding, rather than cake, but I think that is most acceptable. A couple of slices were popped in a Tupperware for next door! Sorry dorsetb, the length of time the post takes, it would definitely be stale by the time it got to you. Alila says she will eat your share.
