A Trig Point......

We were meant to be n the Brecon Beacons this week but that has been put on hold until next year. But my other half decided to take a couple of days off anyway.

We dipped our toes into The Peak District today. We were fully prepared to return home if it was busy but we had gone early and it wasn't. There was only one other car parked at the Roaches. In fact we saw no one along the ridge, and again in Lud's Church. It was amazing to have it to ourselves. That's unheard of in this part of the Peak.

I expect this will be a different story at the weekend. We'd chosen to stay fairly local, and it's only about half an hour's drive from home. And we didn't want to park anywhere near folks homes or in any of the areas villages. 

So, it is possible to enjoy walking in the countryside at this present time, without creating a problem for those who live there.
