The Mountains of Mordor

The way ahead can sometimes appear challenging and formidable - especially when you have fiddled with the vertical scale.  This is a view of the central fells taken from Levens; you may recognise an exaggerated Pike O'Blisco to the right.  Who ever realised the Lake District could be quite so dramatic?

It has been mild but extremely windy over the past 24 hours.  Our lawn is covered in beech leaves stripped from the tree.
