Debating

I spent the morning in the new staff induction and then this afternoon helping my own new staff member get settled in. After work I met Matt at Saddler's Wells to go to one of the Intelligence Squared events. The debate tonight was "The traditional nuclear family has had it's day - Gay parents, single parents, communes - anything goes!". It had some interesting speakers including Charlie Condou, Philippa Perry, Dr Stephanie Coontz, Andrew Solomon, Glenn Stanton and Anne Atkins. We both love going to debates as they always challenge how you think about things and we carried on the discussion over dinner at Banana Tree.
