The View from Owl Crag, Uvberget.
So this is the view seen by Rose, Ruth, Jan and me, on top of Uvberget (Owl crag). This is a 5 minute drive from home, followed by a 15 minute walk. Wonderful views all round! This lake is at the foot of the crag and just out of sight to the right is the sea. You can see it in HarlingDarling's blip, hidden behind me!
Nearby there is a place for a fire, which we used today (extra) while we ate our sandwiches and drank coffee. There's also a cabin that visitors are welcome to use, which must be useful if the weather isn't good. It's open year round and there's a notice reminding "young people" to make use of the place but to also clean up afterwards. Today it was very clean and tidy.
Rose and Ruth were inpressed that such a lovely place was so close to town and so easy to get to.
Afterwards we returned home and then sat out in the sun and ate delicious reindeer stew, while drinking lovely Portuguese wine. (So lovely we bought 8 bottles a few days back!)
An extra good day because we were able to enjoy some chat with our old friends!
A similar, but snowy, view from two months ago.
