Break
Proofreading was the job of the day
Coffee Break - I love old cups like this one. A little of my home made coconut and lime cake was the perfect accompaniment
I was hoping to go out at lunch time but it’s blowing rather strongly out there and I can hear lots of things flying around- I don’t think anyone was expecting it. I’ve already seen a wooden gate fly up into the air and metal trellises come tumbling down. The poly tunnel is for the time being holding strong.
My morning started with a cardboard box full of large shards of broken glass being delivered (it was supposed to be a 10 L storage jar). Royal Mail has put stickers on it saying it was noted as damaged but the paperwork by the inspecting postal worker hadn’t been signed, dated or numbered. It was incredibly difficult to open the box safely and I had to do it inside a bag as there was so much glass dust. I’m kind of shocked that a large box of clearly smashed up glass (an unmistakable sound) got delivered. Photos taken and posted off to the seller in Bradford who has so far not responded. eBay have given me an option to request a return - I’m not sure that’s going to be a safe or sensible option.
