Ngaru iti.

Ngaru is the Maori word for wave. Iti is the Maori word for small. When said with a gap between ,as I have ,this says  "small wave" . However when joined ,ngaruiti  is the  Maori word for microwave !

A few days ago the surf forecast for today was for great waves. I didn't re-check this morning before I drove out to get some surf photos . Never mind it was still a lovely place to be.
