Unexpected bonus
On our walk, while looking for the ducks on Bottoms Reservoir, we saw these fish. I knew there must be fish in there because there are fishing rights, but had never seen any in there. Then J spotted two massive fish. I fired off a couple of shots, mostly to show G and B, but was really pleased with how this came out. I have no idea what type of fish it is, I assume pike or carp.
Other than that it has been a tough day. We had a bit more news about school returns, and guidance from Cheshire East says that Y6 will not return until 29th June, with reception and year 1 each starting a week before that. They will be taught in bubbles of 15, sit at their own desks, have lunch brought into them, not mix outside of their bubble. I found it a bit depressing both for the children going back and the fact that there is no way B will be back in school before September. High schools don't have the guidance yet, but I can't imagine that J will be any different. I feel so sad for them. They haven't left the village, been in a car, seen anyone other than our immediate family or spent enough time playing sport.
