A change of scenery

My favourite cousin and designated shopper arrived earlier than usual today, which was just as well since we caught the best part of the day. I barely had time to do a spot of tidying, put on the coffee and set up the seating before she shouted a greeting from the front door, I stepped aside, and she dropped off the shopping bags in the kitchen.

I took a notion to move from the narrow paved area right in front of the house and set up chairs and tables on what will now forever be known as 'The Lower Terrace'. It worked really well and was a great success. We had our usual great chat about this and that and her status as favourite cousin is even more firmly established.
