Another bonus walk!

Hubby was 'spare' driver again today & managed to get away early again ..... so we had time for a walk!

Wandered up & round the Wood .... thankfully there very few people there today .... then carried on along to the end of the road & back. It was very warm ...... apparently it was 27C here today!

Saw this pretty Dog Rose by the side of the road ........ we then climbed up onto the river bank to look at the river ..... spotted this Common Blue butterfly fluttering about ...... it very kindly settled in front of me so I managed to get this photo!

We climbed back down & continued towards home ...... saw the Whitethroat again ..... well hidden in the tree this time though ...... then noticed the Swallow perched on the wire ...... managed to get a couple of shots before it flew off :-)

The last image is of the first Starling fledgling we've seen in the garden ...... it was demanding food very loudly ...... it's poor parent was having a busy time of it :-)
