Cutting The Grass
After the wonderful weather of yesterday, we are promised wind and rain for the next two days.
This morning, I finished cutting the grass. Every area has been cut once and some areas have now been cut several times. The many clumps of daffodils which have to be avoided often make for a long and awkward task as I approach them from many different angles.
The Blipfoto today shows the north side of our home, with a view to the fruit farm in the distance. The margins beside the "drive" are cut and the other areas are left for the moment.
The drive has always been a gravel track, and the next task is to hoe the many weeds poking through the gravel. After that will be a programme of tree and shrubs pruning throughout the summer.
Yesterday evening we encountered a group of friendly Polish fruit pickers, newly arrived, and exploring the area. They were standing at our gate admiring the farm which will be their home and workplace for this summer and autumn.
We exchanged greetings from a distance.
