Beautiful Demoiselle

For a change of scenery I chose to take a walk along the Blackwater River, in a area I knew to be quiet in the best of times and where I have got good shots of damselflies in the past.  It was also near to one of the large supermarkets I use, so even though we are now allowed to travel to exercise areas, my conscience was clear, as it was also time for the weekly shop!

Today the area met my expectations: it was still quiet, although there did seem a few more cyclists around, and there were damselflies and Irises just coming into bloom.  I was lucky to catch this one just spreading its wings. A couple more shots from the day in extras.
