Anguish
I had been photographing Giselle and her boyfriend Antonio for most of the afternoon.
At the end of the day Gisele put on some black greasepaint, for what was described as a 'portrait'. I did not expect what followed.
She appeared with face and hands smeared as if she had been working on a coal face and as if the paint gave her beautiful face a mask of pain, her features transformed into a compelling sequence of dark emotions.
I was so compelled by what she was doing, that at one point I laughed out loud, causing her to break down in giggles too, but the performance was not disrupted for long.
I got the most amazing set of pictures.
