Changing mood

I visited Ayr College today which is always a pleasant experience. The main campus of the college is situated in the heart of the town on the banks of the River Ayr. There was an awful lot of water rushing to the sea. It was in a very full spate.

Opposite the college, the river goes down a couple of steps. The fast flow of the river (which has a little elegance) is turned into a churning morass (which does not). Relative calm into chaos - it happens in life. I tried to capture the point of change when the river looks as if it wants to go back up the way.

Terrific noise as you can imagine.
