Despite...

it being a scorcher of a day , there are still big cornices up there! A wonderful day with a slight breeze to keep it comfortable for walking, when although I was out three hours I didn't see another person.
There were dozens of Orangetip butterflies and, luckily this year they have coordinated with the Ladies Smock flower, their food plant and egg laying location. Last year they did not emerge till it was finished.
Was going to put one in the extra , but thought this Blackbird was more suitable, as it looks how I was feeling at the end of the walk, hot and frazzled!
Cut the grass then spent the  rest of the afternoon and evening in the garden. Great!
