Our Taj Mahal

The Spanish City Dome.Opened in May 1910.
Behind it there was a brilliant funfair.That was pulled down for a school to be built on the site.
The Dome was left to rot and was in a dreadful state.
After years of complaints from Locals a regeneration project was announced and the building reopened in 2018.

It's beautiful inside as quite a few Blippers will confirm ❤

The guitarist Mark Knoptler has fond memories of the building.
He was born in Glasgow but the Family moved to Blyth which is further along the Coast from Whitley Bay.
We've had fabulous weather today so lots of gardening was done.
