Searching online for Sydney Bus 370 results in headlines like ‘Passengers revolt against Sydney’s late-running 370...’, ‘Sydney’s bus 370 attracts more complaints than ever’ and ‘The city’s worst bus route revealed’. There’s even a FaceBook group called The Universe Would Cease to Exist if the 370 Bus Arrived on Time, created 13 years ago and now with 1500 members.

The 370 runs from Leichhardt in the inner west to Coogee beach. It takes 75 mins, there’s 61 stops, and the route is circuitous.

But on a perfect evening, the driver will turn the volume up to 11 for Bohemian Rhapsody, the sky will be dark blue streaked with yellow, the street lights will come on and people fill the streets.

I’m not sure whether the 370 pictured is the late-running 8.10 or an early 8.25.
