Such a dismal day today - it rained steadily, sometimes torrentially all day - a record rainfall for the date! That in turn took its toll on my sprits, which were similarly rather gloomy, sending me into my “negative thinking” frame of mind. Really didn’t get much accomplished, other than my Duolingo Italian, a bit of knitting and reading. Becoming Mrs Lewis is a novel based on the life of Joy Davidman and C.S. Lewis. The author, Patti Callahan, lifts Davidman from behind the shadow of her famous husband, focusing on her spirited personality, her accomplishments as a writer, and her profound wrestling with the mysteries of God and life.
