Who You Lookin' At?
Yesterday we had that brief, sweet moment of true blue sky. It lightened moods, altered dispositions and raised hearts.
Today wasn't quite like that. I noticed a lot of people today who had faces not just worn in but worn down. Poverty takes a terrible toil, not just physically but emotionally, making a sense of wellbeing seemingly out of grasp. Generations of a poverty of ambition, of opportunity.
But even in the darkness, there is light. Behind the hustle is a sharp mind, looking for a way out. And that's what I saw in this door knocker.
Sure, he may look like a door knocker to you, but if you turn your back, you may lose your wallet.
