Bringing the weekend into Tuesday

Will needed an early dinner due to some 6pm gaming thing he had committed to. Much better than last week when he just didn’t turn up at dinner time, he gave me two days notice (with a worried little face) and we agreed a plan. Anyway the upshot of all this is that Jay organised both the early dinner and the later one, I sat in the garden to eat mine. It was still sunny and everyone else claims it’s too cold. It wasn’t. Also a drop of wine and reminding myself why I love Nigel Slater’s writing. And, because it’s Tuesday, laundry in the background.
