Above And Beyond...

Along The Taff

Groundhog Day 57 of COVID-19 UK lockdown.

We cycled from Tongwynlais, on the outskirt of Cardiff and cycled to Penarth where we enjoyed a social distancing cuppa with my dad who enjoyed the company for an hour.

On the way back we cyled over Cardiff bay barrage (really busy!) and through Cardiff City Centre (really dead quiet) back to our start.

The blipfoto was taken from Sophia Gardens and shows the Millennium Stadium with roof clsoed (currently an empty COVID-19 hospital) and the River Taff meandering towards Penarth Head, the Barrage and Cardiff Bay. You can see the english coastline  with Flat Holm and Steep Holm islands in the middle of The Bristol Channel.

A beautiful sunny day - other than Cardiff City centre you'd never know there was a pandemic with so many people out!
