Digging it

This afternoon, George and I cleared a space to plant our sunflowers. To be honest, he did most of the clearing while I supervised and offered moral support. 

It was harder work than we'd anticipated, as the existing plants were pretty tenacious. 

We also had to convince Stella not to eat the lawn.
