Joppa Rocks

Another day of cloud, some rain and limited brightness. My English colleagues on this morning’s video meeting were all in shirtsleeves and telling me about their alfresco breakfasts!!

A following call with a colleague in the Netherlands was also dominated by talk of wall to wall sunshine!

We walked another 2.5 miles this afternoon and the roads were very empty. One surprise as we walked adjacent to the railway line was the amount of diesel exhaust from a four carriage cross country train service. So clear is the air at the moment that a diesel train really makes a negative impact that used to be masked by all the automobile and aviation pollution. The majority of the trains on this line are electric powered fortunately.

My photo shows Joppa Rocks - only visible at low tide. On the horizon are the four Fred Olsen cruise ships facing an increasingly uncertain future.
