Mono Monday - High Key Driftwood

This was quite a challenge for me as I tend to like dramatic monochromes. Obviously with high key there needs to be an obvious subject with sufficient definition to pull it out from the pastel background but you do not want any areas of heavy contrast so the darker tones need tone lightened. My subject matter is not ideal for a high key portraits it s very angular and texturally contrasty so I have had to tone this down a lot.

Having just checked the reference numbers for mono Monday in May I realise that  am a week out of date but having done quite a bit f work on this I will submit it under last weeks reference
