Splendid isolation

During today's walk we found this dog rose blooming in the gravel on an old bridge. There were only weeds all around so I guess the seed must have been dropped by a bird. You could say it was self-isolating.

I've done so much walking since lockdown that I've developed a sharp pain in the front of my ankle. I guess it's some sort of tendonitis and I'll have to rest. That will be hard because the daily walk has become pretty addictive and I'm sure I'll get withdrawal symptoms.

It's hard to think of a May without the Chelsea Flower Show but I hear we can enjoy a virtual show online. Must have a look.
