Edge of the rain (Day 1838)

It was wet this morning, and I delayed my trip to check in the horses hoping for an improvement in the weather. Unfortunately it stayed wet and I was glad to be wearing all of my waterproofs as I waited for Jeeps to finish his feed.
Back home for a quick lunch then a drizzly wander with the woofers at Lyde. Ditches and streams which have been pretty much dry for ages were full and running fast. Talisker was delighted.
I arrived home again as the rain finally stopped, and set off to deal with a blocked sink as the sun came out. I priced another job on the way home and had time to sort out some stuff for a job tomorrow morning before my beautiful wife came home from her 24 hour shift.
We zoomed across to Stromness to deal with the horses again, arriving just as a heavy shower passed. Hoy clung onto the last of the rain clouds.
