Welcome sight

I split our Hymalaya blue poppies in the autumn and worried that it might not have taken kindly to my interference.  They are starting to come through now and the first bloom is breaking out from its casing.  It looks wonderful.  Big bonfire this afternoon so a pile of prunings and cuttings and dead wood has been reduced to a glowing pile of ash.  Normally, I might have taken it to the council dump; however .....
