A busy day in lockdown

Some days nothing happens at all (yesterday).
Some days feel full to the brim (today).

This morning was my first proper zoom church, as I’ve been volunteering with the Food Hub for the last few weeks and ‘visiting’ Gas Street before that. Apparently this was the morning that the church broke zoom. We were some of the casualties but I enjoyed it all the same.

Then I finally plucked up the courage to cycle up and over the Stiperstones. It was epic. I had to walk in places, as it was so steep but the way down was glorious! I’m not so great at downhill so I was glad for a steady gradient on the way down and lovely smooth roads. It was delightful, apart from the traffic on the roads. The Stiperstones car parks were packed but it’s the kind of place that can be super busy and you still don’t need to get close to anyone. Some brave souls were picnicking up there, but it was pretty blustery up top. I guess you don’t mind a bit of wind if you’ve been stuck indoors for weeks.

Home to stretch, shower and make a pizza then host our uni gang zoom quiz. I was following on from Hay’s epic quiz and so I felt the pressure but I think we all had a wonderful time. The Keele Round was a delightful journey down memory lane, if a little niche.
