May
Beautiful May blossom in full flow now.
Bluebells gently giving say to the bracken.
Nice early 8 mile walk from home to counteract the fish, chips and Guinness of last night!
Spotted a lapwing on its nest - to come back to and keep an eye out for chicks. Watched a pair of mistle thrushes feeding two big fledglings in a sheep field. And after hearing a green woodpecker my year count of species up to 100 - yay. Not many by real birders standards but I'm a happy beginner.
Mostly the walk was quiet in til I got within a mile of home!
Spent a lovely 4 hrs in the garden after lunch. Greenhouse still bursting at the seams despite planting out lots of things into the cutting garden.
Supper and feet-up time now.
Enjoy your evenings.
