Up and out to meet Kate for the first sea swim of the season. We agreed we need gloves next time, it was the cold hands that made us get out. Then a faff, coffee and chat then home again. ‘‘Twas marvellous.

And this essentially ended my activity for the day. I read a book for the rest of it. If nothing else, this lockdown has at last taught me the strength of doing very little. Is very restoring.
