Once Grand!

A very lazy day today...did go for a short walk this afternoon but the FitBit isn’t too pleased with my lack of effort thus far!!

I’d imagine this gateway was once one of the main entrances to the neighbouring estate...long since redundant and replaced in recent times with a modern metal gate.

The bluey/purple flower has appeared from nowhere through a shrub...I’ve no idea what it is but perhaps someone will be able to tell me?
